- Archiv
The edited volume "Cities and Metropolises in France and Germany" provides a Franco-German perspective on issues related to metropolises, small and medium-sized towns and particularly current issues of urbanity, sustainability, Smart Cities, transport and mobility, and the role of crossborder urban development. Each chapter was written by a team of French and German authors and was developed within a ARL (Academy for territorial development in the Leibniz Association) Working Group. A French and German edition is forthcoming.
Our contribution is focussed on city-regional governance and institutional fragmentation: Christophe Demazière, Patricia Feiertag, Didier Paris, Karsten Zimmermann, Jérôme Dubois (2022) The development of metropolises in Germany and France.
